‘South Park’ to Tackle Ozempic Craze in New Special

Of course South Park is going after Ozempic.

Paramount+ announced its next South Park special, and it’s titled South Park: The End of Obesity.

Here’s the description: “The advent of new weight loss drugs has a huge impact on everyone in South Park. When Cartman is denied access to the life-changing medicine, the kids jump into action.”

Here’s the teaser, which has Cartman being told by a doctor that his weight is out of control and that he needs to get on semaglutide.

“It’s time for some drastic measures,” the doctor says.

The End of Obesity marks the seventh South Park special for the service, which started with Post Covid in 2021. That was followed by Post Covid: The Return of Covid, The Streaming Wars, The Streaming Wars Part 2, Joining the Panderverse and the most recent, (Not Suitable for Children).

In 2022, South Park celebrated its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter of a century from when Trey Parker and Matt Stone‘s animated adult comedy first premiered on Comedy Central in 1997.

South Park has been renewed on Comedy Central through 2027, which will take cable’s longest-running scripted series into a 30th season.

South Park: The End of Obesity will premiere May 24 on Paramount+.
