Specialty insurer Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has appointed Alexandra (Alex) Barnes to its Marine & Energy team, starting this autumn.
In the new role, she will be focusing on global energy risks and renewables.
Barnes is an insurance industry veteran with 26 years of experience, having spent 21 of which focusing on energy underwriting at Beazley.
The insurer added that she brings proven underwriting portfolio development, client service and business development expertise to the role.
Barnes is also Deputy Chair of the Joint Natural Resources Committee at the London Market Association.
TMK has a broad energy portfolio focusing on upstream and energy-transition risks, which is underpinned by robust sustainable underwriting principles.
