Marsh McLennan appoints Sarah Triggs as UK Healthcare Industry Leader

Marsh McLennan, a global re/insurance broker, has appointed Sarah Triggs to the newly created role of Marsh McLennan UK Healthcare Industry Leader.

Based in London, Triggs is expected to join the business in Q3 2024 and will have a reporting line to Charles Beresford-Davies, Marsh McLennan UK Industries Leader.

Beresford-Davies commented on the appointment, “Sarah is widely recognised as one of the industry’s foremost advisors on the unique risks that the UK health and social care sector currently faces, including mounting complexities around regulation, resilience, cost and access to public health services.

“Her deep understanding of these challenges and opportunities will be crucial in supporting Marsh McLennan’s clients to navigate the huge dynamics associated with the UK’s healthcare landscape.”

Triggs’ remit in the role will include leading a new collaborative effort to deliver the extensive resources and comprehensive solutions from Marsh McLennan’s businesses, including Marsh and Mercer for clients across both the public and private healthcare sectors.

Triggs has a career spanning over 28 years in specialist health, social care, and has third-sector expertise, having been engaged in insurance underwriting, broking, claims, and health and safety leadership roles throughout her career.

Most recently, she served at Aon as the UK Health and Social Care Industry Leader since 2022. Previously, Triggs worked for Willis Towers Watson for four years, most recently as the UK Health and Social Practice Leader and within the specialist care division of Bollington Care (now A J Gallagher).
