Responsibilities of Associate Data Engineer Job Opening at United:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design efficient data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Optimize and tune existing data pipelines for improved performance and scalability.
- Assist in designing and implementing data models and schemas to support analytical and reporting needs.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolution to ensure smooth data operations.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering to continuously improve our data infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Information Technology, Computer Engineering
- 1-2 year of experience in data engineering
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with advertising platforms
- Working experience with AWS cloud services
